I believe only getting a much faster computer would allow this game to work-because the problems with the mouse clicks would still be there, but not as obvious. Seriously, it seems like it would be harder to program a game NOT to recognise a mouse click, than to have it work like this!įYI, I'm on XP-so the OS doesn't matter. Reducing the resolution down to 640x480 does not help. When I reset the quality away from low, it says, 'custom,' but will NOT allow me to turn the shadows ON or the effects OFF. It's as though the clicks have to 'match' the speed of the animation (which runs slowly on my computer.) and if you don't click at the right instant, it doesn't register at all-no matter how long you hold the mouse button down.Ĭhanging the visual quality to 'low' causes the game to freeze just as you are about to win the level-every time! I've only done 15 levels and so far it hasn't made me lose as far as getting gold but I think that as the levels progress and get harder it may become a problem. It seems to me that if it makes the clicking sound then the action should follow. When I click to collect taxes or to gather water, I can hear the click in the game but it doesn't 'take' so to speak. I am having a problem with mouse sensitivity though.
